The Erindi Private Game Reserve is located on about 71 000 hectares of wilderness, it is a malaria-free zone situated in the Okahandja, Otjiwarongo and Omaruru triangle, where more than 15 000 head of game have been recorded. Erindi in the local dialect of Herero, can be translated to 'The place of Water'. Rare and endangered species of leopard are conserved in the area as well as lions, cheetah, black rhino, African wild dog and brown hyena.
The main building is the 'Old Traders Lodge' consists of the main dining room and a viewing deck. Guests can order meals from the set menu and can choose from a selection of wine, beer and cool drinks from the bar.
Accommodation at Erindi consists of 40 well-appointed suites including 30 luxury rooms which are all equipped with double or twin beds, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, remote controlled air-conditioning, a fridge and kettle, tea/coffee station, in-room safe, study desk and satellite television. 15 of these rooms have sleeper couches for children under 12 years.
There are nine superior rooms with similar features as the luxury rooms and including a big screen tv, complimentary sherry, bathrobes and slippers and a small library.
The VIP room is situated on the dam wall and has waterfront views, it has similar features as the superior rooms and has its own private splash pool, exclusive deck and fireplace as well as an outdoor shower.
Activities at Erindi include early morning game drives, evening game drives and informative and educational lectures.
